Semmes & Co. Builders was brought in to complete this remodel/addition, working closely with 10 Over Studio Inc., the project architect, to transform the home into a more functional and comfortable space tailored to the needs of the homeowners. We were glad to help bring the owners’ vision to life through careful execution, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

This project transformed the former 550-square-foot primary suite into a thoughtfully reconfigured guest suite, guest bathroom, laundry room, and an open stairway leading to a newly added primary bedroom suite above. The guest bathroom features a modern, curbless walk-in shower with a sleek linear drain, balancing accessibility with refined style.

The open stairway serves as a striking architectural feature, incorporating a View-rail cable system that maintains visual openness while leading to the new 700-square-foot primary suite. Designed as a private retreat, the primary bedroom features large sliding glass doors that open to the new rooftop deck, showcasing expansive views of Cerro Alto and the surrounding landscape.

The primary suite bathroom offers a spa-like experience with a soaking tub, a custom vanity with a linear-style sink, and a spacious walk-in shower. The rooftop deck extends the living space outdoors and is finished with cable railing to preserve unobstructed views. Completing the remodel are new exterior finishes and a new garage door, giving the home a refreshed and cohesive look inside and out.
